Some more photos of Erith; nothing much changes in reference to my posting of last week. I was in Morrison's on Saturday afternoon; I had been out taking a few photographs with my new Nikon D300 Camera and I had it hanging on my shoulder from the strap whilst I queued to pay for my purchases. I suddenly felt someone lift it away from me - I turned suddenly and a small, weasel faced, ginger haired Chav was standing there; He said "Cor. Isn't that camera heavy?" - I grabbed his collar and hissed "If you touch that camera again, you will be taking your next meal through a drip!" I think the threat was lost on him, but bearing in mind the camera has a solid, cast magnesium alloy chassis, I could have used it to beat him to a fine pulp with no ill effects to my photography. Scum.

The Chav battery burglars from a couple of weeks' back are getting loads of hits on my Flickr web photo album - do have a look of you have not already done so.

I have had a number of Maggot Sandwich readers ask me about my new Nikon professional camera; hence the photos of it, taken in my living room last night, which are shown above. Click on any image for a much larger photo. No more about cameras for a while now!

Two days, two gigs.

The second gig of the weekend, and my second blog posting; Ian's band Xenon played at the decidedly less than packed to the rafters Erith Working Men's Club. Still, they got paid anyway. A great set and nice to see them showcasing some new material. Their Myspace page is here (warning loud music). I have just found out that my local area of Erith and Slade Green is heavily polluted with industrial asbestos. On top of the horrendous air pollution I have previously discussed, this is just another environmental disaster. You can read about the pollution here.

I have found someone who is a person after my own heart in respect of values and life experience - even if he does not really exist - see what I mean here.

I have had several readers of the Maggot Sandwich enquire as to why I have not shown the infamous and widely discussed spoof Chav hunting video. My initial response was that I did not wish to be seen jumping on the media bandwagon. It would appear that many readers have still not seen the video in question, so I feel it is my public duty to comply. Comments below if you please.
