Well Big Alan has really done something bonkers, and I am quite envious - as per a previous post, he's bought a Maserati 4200 GT supercar. 0-60mph in 4.8 seconds and 177mph. Serious stuff. I have not seen it yet, though Ian has been in it and is very impressed - the photo is his, this is the actual car. Start off in one town and leave your internal organs in the next. Nice.I am looking forward to the weekend; I am going up to Mum's as normal for lunch in the Summerhouse tomorrow (always nice). We are planning on cooking a Chicken Bhund curry (an aromatic curry with red and green peppers, new potatoes and mushrooms that is cooked in a pot in the oven like a casserole). I bought the fresh garlic for the recipe from a new African supermarket in Plumstead on my way from the station to see Dad in the Gallions View nursing home this afternoon.
Today's free download is Open Office - the free and open source Office application suite that is a real alternative to M$ Office; it is 100% file compatible and does quite a few things M$ Office cannot. Open Office is available for most operating systems and is published for free under the GPL licence. The Open Office website is available here.
