Very close friend and all round good egg Steve Fraser has reason to celebrate - he's off to Buckingham Palace in October as he has been awarded an MBE! It is for services rendered to the Crown in his role as an Army Officer. Ahem. I am planning a suitable celebration with a few drinkies for one and all shortly after the investiture. More details nearer the time.

I was just about at school with Steve (he left when I was in the 3rd or 4th year) and we used to be in AVPaC together.
I can remember him hanging me offa some coathooks after we younger crowd were causing a mini riot (I was the main instigator) so i can proudly say that I've been hung by my shirt on a coat hook by a Member of the Order of the British Empire!
How many people can say that??!
