Just back from Twickenham

Just a quick note - Ian and I have returned from sunny Twickenham after seeing the newly reformed Genesis in concert. Loads more photographs can be seen here.
The most civilised gig crowd I have ever experienced - a real Waitrose audience.

  1. Here's what I've posted on the Evening Standard review of the gig webpage:

As a mere whippersnapper of only 35 and a fan who thinks Genesis were at their best till Phil shaved off his beard it was the first time I've seen the band live apart from video’s and DVD’s I have to say this was a closing chapter for me.
I would have loved to see them 30 years ago but obviously wasn't old enough. I thought the highlights were the instrumental/older longer pieces and Phil just looked like he was going through the motions when singing. Have to say the sound was the best I’ve ever heard at a large gig.
Highlights was the stage/set once it got dark, Los Endos and "half" the stadium empting during Hold On My Heart as everyone went to use the facilities or the bar cos lets face it does anyone like that song?
    LOL!
A gig for the Waitrose Generation...
