The new Doctor Who mini episode "Time Crash" from BBC TV's "Children in Need" telethon, followed by the online "Doctor Who Confidential" mini documentary on the making of the episode.

It was GREAT (although I had to watch it with both my parents and my wife staring at me for my reactions and the kids running about, not condusive!). # Loved the whole "...you’re my Doctor" bit, Tennent is a year older than me (fuck Davidson being the youngest Doctor ever, a watershed day for me is going to be when the actor playing the Doctor is younger than me!). It rang bells with me and apparently he wrote that himself as he's a fan and basically it was the truth! Some great fan nods/lines to. As you pointed out to me the line about Beards is a allusion to gay slang (a beard is a wife of a known gay man), the whole "you’re my Doctor" and the habits he's kept from that Regeneration bits, the throwaway lines (my fav was the comment about "Belgium" as any self respecting fan of Douglas Adam knows that is in fact the WORSE swear word in the known universe) it was exactly what I wanted as a nod to the shows past. Saying that though not keen on Davidson's almost slapstick performance, the "Wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey BOLLOCKS", another funting gay reference (I know alot of 'Who's fan base is gay men but i'm not and really don't apreciate having it rammed down my thrao...Oh nevermind) and the "what?! What?! What?!" repeating of lines the writers (and jurno's) seem so fond of.
have to say 8.5/9 out of 10. Why can't Stephen Moffet take over 'Who from RTD???
