A wonky foot and The Best Kept Secret.

I have been suffering in silence since last Thursday morning; actually that it complete rot, as I have been whingeing to all and sundry about the pain in my left foot. I have an appointment with my GP tomorrow morning, as I have had to dose myself up with a mix of Paracetamol and Ibuprofen to be able to walk with a semblance of normality; I just cannot put very much weight on the foot which makes perambulation very difficult. I don't know what is causing the problem; it seems to be coming from the tendons on the underside of the arch of the foot, rather than anything to do with the joints themselves. All very mysterious; I will post an update when I know what the cause of the problem is. I'll probably need to have it amputated from the knee, knowing my luck.

Earlier this afternoon, Ian very kindly ferried me up to "The Best Kept Secret" - a lovely cafe in the middle of Oxleas Wood on the top of Shooters Hill. The cafe was having a barbecue and live music event featuring local Soul band OCD, who I have photographed in the past. There were lots of people, dogs and small children all having a good time whilst listening to the band playing summery music, including a couple of Santana covers which could have lasted all evening! I hope that this becomes a regular event, as it was a very pleasant way to spend a Sunday afternoon. If you want to see the whole photo stream, view them on my Flickr site here.

The video below is very interesting; the device is purely a prototype; I must admit that if it were ever to be legal in the UK (fat chance!) I would be the first in the queue to have one - I wonder what you think? A mixture of me equipped with this, and a Chav rich environment would be.... interesting.

  2. What fun.

A trip to Woolwich would be like a game of Unreal Tournament. Ridding our streets of chav scum should be recognised as a public service. Grants should be made available to us.
